Adalie completed her first mission trip! Her team of nine were the first short term team sent by YWAM to Madaba, Jordan. Pictured above you can see her teaching the children. Here is her account: "For half of my time in Jordan I volunteered at a church kids camp. We had kids from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Sweden. Some were refugees, others were missionary kids, and others were from local families. We taught them many subjects ranging from English and Bible, to Cooking. And of course we spent a lot of our time playing, running around, and giggling. They were a joy to be around." Look for a Video Mission Report by Adalie on Highwater Movie Club later this month.

My first goal for writing the screenplay, So You Want To Marry My Daughter, was to clearly communicate to my daughters everything that I love about them including my hopes and fears as they begin to spread their wings and take flight! Phase 1 Complete: "You have no idea how much this means to me Daddy. Your heart for me makes me want to cry. Thank you for loving me with such big love!" said Zoie, (age 15) after reading the screenplay. "Sooo good! This story has a big heart, strong message and a lot of comedy. I love it and can't wait to see it come to life." exclaimed Adalie (age 19) "Wow! Amazing! I love how you pulled so many little details from our lives. It's so fun! I love hearing your thoughts and heart on marriage, dating and purity! I love it!" astounded Kylia (age 17) "It's a hit! This is going to be so much fun to make!" shouted Leilani (age 8). My most important critics have spoken! This has been the most personal story I have ever written. It helped me grieve the recent loss of my father-in-law, recalling what he said to me while dating his daughter, while currently living in his house and seeing his picture in every room. Also, it has helped me figure out beforehand how I am going to react when my future sons-in-law come knocking. April and I are discovering, as we share this project, that many people weren't raised by parents who follow Jesus and have no idea how to navigate dating, marriage and parenthood. The world must know God's Biblical design for the family, and movies are a great way to share that message. We will share the screenplay on Highwater Movie Club later this month for your feedback as well. This week I created new title art, edited captions for The Deliverance Lifestyle for our upcoming release, and started working on the fundraising pitch for our new movie. Pray for doors to open for our family, and for God to send help with marketing and funding this film project.
